THE LOCAL AREA

Just a little further afield is the Regency spa town of Cheltenham, offering many visitor attractions, an extensive range of shops, restaurants, and the Gold Cup horse racing. The Cotswold Water Park is also nearby with its many water based activities. The area is popular with walkers, cyclists, horse riders and nature lovers, with the nearby The National Arboretum, Westonbirt being home to one of the finest tree collections in the world. This is a perfect Gloucestershire holiday home to be enjoyed at any time of year.

THE VILLAGE PUB
Good food, usually a good idea to book though as they can get busy.

ST. MARY’S CHURCH
A beautiful cotswold stone medieval church, don't miss the older gravestones arranged along the back wall.

THE ORGANIC FARM SHOP
Excellent food, great walks to explore and good for your organic grocery needs. Turn left out of the Greyhound Barn car park and leave the village. It's on the right about three miles down the road towards Cirencester, just before the traffic lights at the Fosse Way junction.

BIBURY
Another local village, famed for it's ancient Arlington Row of cottages, Bibury Trout Farm, Nature Reserve and places to eat. Just turn right out of the Greyhound Barn car park, head round the corner and it's four miles down the road.

CIRENCESTER
Formerly the ancient Roman town of Corinium, now a bustling market town huddled around a splendid church. The Corinium Museum and Abbey Grounds are a must. Less well known is the bullring, a small Roman amphitheatre. Turn left out of our car park and keep going for about four miles.
